This all-new Honda hybrid looks like a scaled-down Toyota Prius, but it’s less powerful (98 horsepower compared to 134) and less fuel efficient (40/43 mpg city/highway compared to 51/48). But it’s also about $2,300 less expensive. Honda’s aerodynamic five-seat hatchback teams a four-cylinder engine with an electric motor; no plug-in charging is required.  

Should I Consider It? If you’re willing to put up with weird steering feel and some un-Honda-like mechanical harshness to go a highly visible shade of green.
