2010 Saab 9-3X

What's new about the 2010 Saab 9-3X? Saab’s first stab at a crossover is basically a vamped-up version of its 9-3 SportCombi midsize station wagon. The 9-3X has slightly elevated ground clearance and SUV-like body cladding, but uses the 210-horsepower turbo four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive system available in other 9-3 models.

Should I Consider It? Saab’s tardy to a crossover-wagon party already defined by the Subaru Outback and Volvo XC70. Still, the 9-3X is an upscale way to get some SUV mobility without SUV bulk – and it’s available with manual transmission.
