New Car Deals for June 2010: Hybrids
While the slow-selling and high-priced Chevrolet and GMC full-size SUVs may continue to get the fattest rebates among gas-electric hybrids, the segment’s “core” models—the Honda Civic Hybrid and Honda Insight and the venerable Toyota Prius—also make our top deals list this month. Interest in this segment has been waning part because of less volatile gasoline prices, a weak economy, and the fact that government tax credits have run out on the Toyota and Honda models. Also, maybe some shoppers with a fascination for high-tech “green” cars are waiting for electric cars like the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf to hit the market later this year.
