New Car Deals for October 2011: Midsize Cars

Last Updated: Nov 2, 2011

With the exception of the soon-to-be-discontinued Mitsubishi Galant, all our Best Deals in midsize cars this month are on domestic models. The 2012 Ford Fusion is the top pick here, with a winning combination of understated style and performance. The 2012 Chevy Malibu would be worth a look, but it may be worth waiting for the redesigned 2013 version coming out in early 2012. However, since the 2013 Malibu will offer only four-cylinder engines, V-6 fans may wish to take advantage of incentives on a 2011 or 2012 Malibu. Otherwise the 2012 Dodge Avenger and 2012 Chrysler 200 -- while helped by a new V-6 engine and improved interior adornment for 2011 -- still trail the segment leaders by several lengths.
